As a Construction Superintendent, you will oversee and supervise all aspects of our construction projects. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. In this position, you will be part of a team that encourages personal and professional growth. We challenge one another to get better and push closer to perfection each day. In this position, you will spend most of your time on our job sites, in the beautiful coastal North Carolina weather.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise construction projects from start to finish.
  • Read and interpret house plans and engineering drawings.
  • Ensure projects are built according to budget, proposals, plans, and approved change orders.
  • Maintain quality control and expedite issue resolution.
  • Verify completion of checklists and schedule inspections.
  • Maintain a safe work site and ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Manage project schedules using BuilderTrend, updating them daily.
  • Communicate with subcontractors and vendors to prepare them for their scope of work.
  • Provide daily logs and updates for internal records and clients.
  • Conduct on-site walk-throughs with trades and clients.
  • Approve payments for subcontractors and manage returns of materials.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and inspectors.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and educational sessions.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience as a construction superintendent preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of construction operations and practices.
  • Excellent understanding of house plans and engineering drawings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment while following our process.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and MS Outlook.
  • Familiarity with BuilderTrend is preferred but not required.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as bending, standing, crawling, and reaching, and to move materials on a job site.
  • Spanish speaking preferred but not required.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 annually, based on experience.
  • 2 weeks paid time off.
  • Paid holidays.
  • Company vehicle during working hours.
  • Company phone and iPad provided for work use.
  • 401(k) program after 1 year of employment.

Work Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Saturday: When required, on a case-by-case basis
